Pink covers about 290° to 345° along with the light, low-saturation end of red. Magenta is the fully saturated version and is one of the two hues with no single wavelength — the eye constructs it from red and blue together. Pinks lighten well but lose identity fast below about 20% saturation, drifting towards a warm grey.
